71 weeks since starting HRT. I have been on my antidepressant regimen for a couple weeks now, and so far it seems to be doing its job. I have not been overwhelmed to the point of shutting down, which is great. I have had some weird moods though that are sort of abnormal for me, such as being cranky and having little patience. Other than that, everything seems to be working out well. They did say two months for everything to stable out, so it will be interesting to see what that actually means.
My hair is long enough now that I can have a ponytail! Well, kind of... it is a pretty short ponytail. Now I can do my hair the way I have wanted to for a while! I do a small poof in the front, then a high ponytail in the back. As the hair gets longer, the ponytail will get longer too and look super rad with the shaved sides and back. I have found a shape for my eyebrows as well that I really like. I find myself looking more and more like my sister, which is strange but exciting at the same time. I say this because I have always been envious of how she looks, so knowing that I look like her makes me happy.
I started playing Pokemon Go, and I am totally hooked. I have been walking around everywhere searching for these mystical creatures! Often, I hesitate to go walk places just because I get nervous about my appearance and how people see me. Not with Pokemon, I just get up and go, no hesitation whatsoever, not even caring how I look. Why did it take a video game for me to do this? I have no clue, but it works and I have been getting good exercise. I may try to start running again next week, hopefully I will have the same attitude that I do towards Pokemon.
I have been pretty well set on my style as well. Cargo shorts, sandals, and a t-shirt or tank top. This seems to me to blend the functionality that I like of cargo shorts (women's shorts have crappy pockets which is super frustrating) with the flattery of a form fitting top. I also like showing off my tattoos, and I get a lot of positive attention from them. I haven't shaved my armpits in a long time now, and it doesn't bother me (feminism FTW). Even my leg hair growth has slowed down quite a bit, I really only shave every couple of weeks.
That's all I have for now, time to catch some Pokemon!
